Many reports and articles claim that Gunaratna had filed a plea against Maratha Reservation in Bombay High Court. However, he stayed away from the bench during the session. Other lawyers told the judge that he is participating in the Bigg Boss 18 house.

Consequently, the court said some rude remarks of disappointment over his act. As far as the details of the case are concerned, Sadavarte had asked the court not to consider any hearing before the date. However, he is now absent the court noted.. Now, the hearing has been set for November 19, 2024.
