Bigg Boss 18 is slowly picking pace seeing the participants make themselves comfortable in the Bigg Boss house. After the first week the program is back to the regular schedule of drama, nomination and emerging friendships. Bigg Boss 18 Highest Paid Contestant
The latest buzz on the show alleged that this Indian Television actor earned the highest pay among the contestants for this season of the show; Rs. 5 lakhs per week. The TV actor famous for his shows Shakti and Madhubala has received the highest pay for his engagement in Bigg Boss 18.
Just behind her is former Bollywood actress Shilpa Shirodkar, who is said to be paid Rs 2.5 lakh per week. Also, the winner of the Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 Karan Veer is rumored to be paid around Rs 2 lakh in a week.
Why Are Salaries Lower This Season?
These salaries may be considered high, however what is quite apparent in this season is the tremendous decline in the remunerations as compared to past seasons. In comparison, seasons that were featured back had much higher pay checks to celebrities in particular. For example:
- Bigg Boss 17 saw TV celebrities Ankita Lokhande and Aishwarya Sharma earning a whooping Rs 11-12 lakh for a week out of the total money earned from all the contestants.
- As per buzz, the Imlie actor Sumbul Touqeer Khan was earning Rs 12 lakh weekly during her stint in Bigg Boss 16.
- Tejasswi Prakash was suggested the highest compensation for Bigg Boss 15 at Rs 10 lakh per week as the winner of the show.
The huge differenxe in remuneration has been pointed out due to salaries this season have been capped at Rs 5 lakh. They were collected before the outbreak of the show and could alter as the season continues running, although it is still pioneering.
The audience will have to wait and see if more celebrity contestants join the show sometime in the middle of the season bringing in more cash with them.
